EDIT: See page 2 for solution (installing the latest RLM server software)

Hello
Every few days I've got a problem with the license server. On a machine it gives an error, that the license has not been found.
When I connect to the RLM in the browser via http://server:5054 I can connect to that machine via the network. Then I click on 'Status' and then in the ISV Servers list on the 'nextlimit' button below 'Server Status' . Now that page won't load ... (usually it does)
I can kill the rlm task on the server machine with the task manager and restart it again, then everything works fine again.
But is there a way, to find out why he has this hiccup every few days and how to get rid of it?
The machine I installed the RLM on is our render farm manager, running Windows Server 2012 and it is running constantly with any other problems.
Thanks

yes almost everyday.. on the SAME computer(the only computer i use maxwell on) I have to relicense it .. almost everyday .. definatly annoying
I have tried to Replace the license and also add too.
win64 (has happened with all builds of Maxwell 3.0 to beta3.0.0.3)
Never had license problem with maxwell alpha/beta v1 nor v2.. this is def just a v3 thing

You don't have to keep re-licensing it if the problem is with the RLM server dropping out. If you have your maxwell render floating.lic file already, then leave it alone.

Check the log of RLM, maybe it gives you some clues. Does it happen when you start the computer, or randomly?

Is there also a log file written to the disc? My rlm still crashes from time to time, today again. And I couldn't even access it via localhost:5054. rlm.exe was still running though. I'd like to know what's wrong there as the machine it's running on seems to be pretty reliable.

Hi

So I'm still trying to track down, why my license server fails every now and then.

Obviously the service rlm_nl crashed exactly at midnight:
(that was the last time the log was updated)

And in the server console I found the following error:
Faulting application name: rlm.exe, version: 10.0.3.0, time stamp: 0x51e73add
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16579, time stamp: 0x51637f77

Do you have any idea why? Or should I write to the support desk?

Thanks
