Everything related to the integration for SketchUp.
#402092
Greetings,
One of my users with Sketchup 2025 (25.0.660.288) and Maxwel 5.2.5 contacted me with an odd error that just started the other day -
He would open the Maxwell Material Editor to import a new material, then a black command window would open with the following error:

Unknown option "darkmode=0"
Value 3 for option "dpiawareness" out of range 0 .. 2
Using standard license path : C:\ProgramDataNext Limit\Maxwell\licenses\v5.

The material fails to import properly and the render is then not displaying that material.
The system has not changed - nor have any of the drivers.

it's an HD dual monitor system 1920x1080 running on an older GTX 1660 Super inside Windows 11 Professional x64 on a client server platform.
I have run a check on the system, updated the video drivers, checked for system and app for updates - nothing seems to correct the problem.
Anyone else having this issue?
Regards,

Hello Blanchett,

I could reproduce the problem here. As far as I could check, if you ignore the command window (do not close it), the Material Editor should work normally and import the material from the online gallery.
In case you don't want the command window to show, you can go to its window, click on the down arrow to the right of its tab > then Settings > then go to the "Default terminal application" section and set the dropdown menu option to "Windows Console Host" > And don't forget to click on the "Save" button below.
The next time you open the Material Editor, the terminal window shouldn't show up.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
Fernando
