Simple question:

Sketchup plugin Mac OS X-what works and what doesn't?

I can do the tutorial and that's about it. When I try to change the export setting for the Maxwell pluin for Sketchup--CRASH!!!!!!

What works? How can I get a higher quality rendering?

If not, when will this work?

the only way i can manage it is with the 3ds export

My new machine:

The "physical" envronment is the only one that didn't make the screen black.

Any other advice?

I'm on a 2 x 2,5 G5, and the plugin produces nothing but rubbish. The SU faces have to be intersected during the export, I guess, and while doing this the plugin disorganises the normals, so the Maxwell rendering is full of black faces afterwards. This software is not even a toy. It's useless.
