No, not at all. If they ship it in its current state they would have a problem, but until they ship it, they haven't done anything illegal, since their only commitment to their customers was to ship them substantially functional software. The timetable was stupid PR, and labelling this release a release candidate was assinine (it should have been an RC renderer + an alpha of the GUI product, to maximize their public relations), but making sweeping changes to their system isn't even unethical, particularly when they're doing it in order to give their paying customers a better product, let alone illegal.DavidR wrote: I didn't call for a lawsuit, but suggested that NL might have opened themselves to that risk by changing MR so much for what is supposed to be beta.
