Hi,

I'm doing little multilight animation with bitmap emitters. I need to use both: intensity and color changes. However, if I chose multilight color, my emitters don't work..with multilight intensity everything is fine..

Does anyone knows why? Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Here is the situation:

Hi audrius01,

color multilight is currently not supported with IES or texture emitters, thats a mathematical limitation that we have currently not found a way of solving in a efficient and correct way with this kind of emitters.

Color multilight is not the effect of just tinting the light as you can do before the render in the texture editor, color multilight is a very complex method of storing and mathematically being able to calculate all the interactions the light can have in the scene when changing its emission after the render is done without breaking correctness. You can test for example with an area light through a prism and dispersion on, and see how color multilight really changes how light interacts with the sorroundings.

Being said that, we are always investigating to improve and break this kind of barriers.
