I find this isn't working correctly in studio. The viewport goes out of control, panning and zooming wildly. This is in win7 64bit v3.0.1. Ps. I'm using alt + mmb to pan. Rotate and zoom (with lmb and rmb) seem to work fine.

strange... same here.. it happen IF I press hard on the (wheel) mmb, if I press gently it works.. but as you say if I press hard, it does crazy zoomings.

Ok, that is strange, I must not have a gentle touch, since it's wild for me all the time, maybe it's the type of mouse. I wish I had an alternate way to pan. It's really difficult move things this way.

you can use autohotkey to map middle button to a keystroke. at least you'll see if it is your mouse driver going wild.
