Start off with the simplified wizard interface in 3.0, create a red wax SSS material, start tuning that into the skintype you want as the base characteristics are about the same.

fire always forced close studio when i move the object quickly or use complex material
maxwell physically correct ...so we create body with skills and blood and skin to help maxwell to calculate correct ?or the layers with maps is the best method
wax or milk is single volume with the same settings not like the skin
can maxwell really calculate correctly the human skin with one thin surface ?

maxwell's physical correctness engine seems like now no optimized for rendering skin efficiently.
sure you can do great tests things like maximus did .. but if you were producing any kid of animated spot.. (like Meindbender AMAZING pirate) you have to either settle for a stylized skin or render with another engine that has more advance/ efficient shader for skin (not a bad thing to render in multiple engines and composite to get final result either)

maxwell has far to go yet (its gotten refined for archvis and studio light setups) but needs more development to be a full all-around render (you can do other scenes just don't expect it to be fast and efficient render of that scene and youll be putting alot of work into it- like Maximus3D's oldman skin test show.. you'll be waiting a while for the render to clean up too)
