We have been using V2 since it came out and have recently moved onto V3 but we are having massive problems with image maps in the new version. After we have sized up or down the maps to fit what we are doing the maps constantly re-scale. They display perfectly fine in fire or in the preview window but the scale doesn't carry through when rendered. Below is a screen grab of the same scene and model where you can see the scaling issue. On the left is the preview and on the right the fire version where the texture scales right back down!

Has anyone else had these issues? Its really affecting our workflow and we have gone back to using V2 until a fix occurs.

On further investigation it seems the problem is slightly different to what we had first thought.

The problem seems to occur when we save the file and re-open it. The objects then loose the texture scaling. When we open the scene again and click 'adjust' on the triangles panel within the object, the material no longer scales back to what it should be and stays unscaled. If we then delete the object and import it back in via a dxf into maxwell and re-apply the material clicking adjust then works. The view in fire then matches the render output. Until we close and open the scene again and the above re-occurs.

We think we may have worked out the problem. It seems that when you use a V2 material in V3 these scaling problems occur. Exporting the material in V3 and then adding it back into the scene works correctly. Its good to have figured it out but annoying as we have a large library of built materials that we now have to modify as and when we use them.

We will do a few more tests and post back

This problem has returned. Maxwell seems to be screwing up the UV assignment when the map is scaled. Even creating new materials in maxwell V3 doesnt work. Maxwell is essentially useless to us until this massive bug is fixed
