I made some tests using the new Benchwell V3 with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (X64):

System Specs: 4x Opteron 6276 @ 3.60 GHz - 32GB RAM

Windows Server 2003 X64
Image

3m21s - 1392.98
The status indicator doesn't seem to work right here :? (Remaining: 1m02s). When I close the Benchmark Window it shows completed @ SL 14.00

Windows Server 2008 X64 R2
Image

4m06s - 1133.03

Linux Ubuntu X64
Image

5m58s - 779.06

What surprises me is, that Maxwell Render V 2.7 used to be much faster on Linux (Opteron-MP) than on any Windows Server X64 (2003/2008/2012). Now it turned around and Maxwell Render V3 is very slow on the Linux platform.

Is there any reason for that? :?

By the way - Could you please add the AMD Opteron 6276 ES - AMD Eng Sample, ZS232545TGG45_32/23/20_2/16 (ES) to the Database of Benchwell V3. :)

Submitting Results with these didn't work with Benchwell V2.7.

wow.. just making sure, that is the exact same hardware for all tests but running different OS only?

if so, there is certainly something dodgy going on, already the 1100 vs the 1400 should not show such a gap, but 700 for the ubuntu are very very low.

This is very weird. Actually we cannot find any reason for that, in all our tests the performance in linux & windows is more or less similar. We will test more Ubuntu systems to find out of there is anything specific on that distribution that might be affecting. Thanks for the tests!
