never really noticed this, since i'm usually doing architectural stuff.. but everytime i click on 'no environment' or skydome... and shut the window.. physical sky reappears everytime :-/

You have to confirm the change by clicking the OK button - otherwise the setting is not changed.

taht would make a lot of sense.. and for some reason, my window always opens a hair too small, and was cutting off the OK button! haha.thanks..duh.

What platform you are on? Windows or OSX? I will check the size of the dialog.

BTW you can easily change the size of the dialog yourself in MaxwellExport.rb file - just check these 2 variables:
$EnvironmentPanelWidth = 330
$EnvironmentPanelHeight = 360
