this is driving me crazy

I have tried everything that I could think, but every time I export a model with components (set to glue on the walls)... depending of the wall; the components appear fine or the appear 90* turned
If you see the holes in the right wall, those are the same components from the left wall, only difference is that now they are 90* inside the wall

I believe Pavol's working on it. Until he comes up with a solution, I suggest you keep "Instances" unticked in the export dialog box, even when rendering straight out of SU.

"Instances" unticked does not solve my problem :(

Well, then I don't know either. Sit back and wait until a solution is found.

Yeah ... I know.

I've requested a sample scene already. In general, the export should have no problems with Instances and hierarchies disabled, there is still problem with instances in certain cases - I am working on that.

This is a new (at least to me) Studio problem. File renders fine when rendering directly from SU. I am working on it with Studio developers.

Pelias,
I just want to confirm that you are right, if I render directly from sketchup... it renders fine (even with the Instances and hierarchies checked)

Yet, studio is extremely important for me... that's where I do my final composition  :?

Older versions of the export-plugin w/ 1.7 work fine though :?

I found a workaround... :D

If I disable the Instances and hierarchies , then select everything and make a group... fixes the problem :D

The problem was that instances with the option "glue to" have a "set plane" that is different from the actual model.

By disabling Instances and hierarchies and putting the all the components inside a group, I forced maxwell to break the components into meshes with the same texture (separate by material option is checked) which forces sketchup to lose the different "set plane" in their components
:D
