Calibration/Validation is a top-priority. We're closing in on it...

And yes, we'll do more images pretty soon here. We've had a lot to test... including a whole battery of Studio stuff and other surprises

.screen projection sounds really interesting to me.will it be possible to map also other objects than background, with this type of projection?
it would be very fine because of compositing.

Ahh! That's just a display of falloff curve for fresnel... the next generation of materials will have a series of[CENSORED!!], which will be cool, don't you think?

What are the news about that?
Reflected caustics are already possible and working nicely. Sun caustics behind glass improved and the team is working on it.
"Improved" and "the team is working on it" sounds good to me but tells me you find it hard to solve. Please, put a big effort on this; I think it's extremely important for everybody.

Keep up with the good job! :)

Theoretically, it's possible with RS1+ core but it will take long time to render such scenarios. Next generation will be able to handle this flawlessly.

fantastic, this is what we've been waiting for.

thanks mike
(you're reviving our trust in nl, it seem you've inadvertently become their spokesman, and a great spokesman you are! keep the announcements coming...)

To be honest, the real question is "do you mean post 1.0?"
I think he means RS2, the new core...

WOW........... First Thank's to the MaxwellRender development team for all of this great effort. And too the A-Team, specially Mike and Tom, for all of there support to us.

Ok...now for the questions.

--Multi-Light Illumination Control --
This feature is going to be the best selling point of Maxwell in my opinion, but one thing i want to know is...ok... i have a room, with 4 ceiling lights, 2 table lamps and 2 windows. I set up my lights using the new -- Lighting Presets -- and thats it?? i just hit render and then i can change intensities or just the sun light or what ever time of day i choose and i can preview it in real time?

Who ever did the SIMON animation, i love it... Its great!!! thats my favorite song and i did played simon like crazy back in the day. I bet it was Tom.

The -- MXED - The Standalone Material Editor -- its just pure love!!!! God this is so great.... but until i have it fully working in Sketchup and Archicad 8.1 i wont believe it.

-- Objects Hidden to Camera -- great, but will i be able to hide the shadow as well?? This will be great if it is implemented just like --Multi-Light Illumination Control -- if i can hide any object in real time, which will be great if i just in the last moment dont want that table...or that chair, just hide it and it will be gone, from the scene of course.

-- HDR/MXI Lighting --
I have never use this, i dont know if it is implemented in the mac version, but hope it is and it is as simple as using normal HDRI maps in all the other renders softwares.

-- Complex IOR/SSS/Dispersion --
Love it, but i dont see it working in my daily architectural work.

-- Anisotropy --

Looks great, nice job. the animation is great.

-- Cooperative/Network Rendering --
Hope this works with multi platforms, mac and pc's, or mac, macintel and pc's...oh...wait are the macintel going to be interpreted as pc's too...God i'm confused.

Now the words that worry me are from Mike.... (quote)...In the coming weeks, members of A-Team will be generating more images to show you these features at work, along with screenshots of the interfaces, etc. Watch this space for more announcements soon!

Last time this was said this was a month ago, so for the peace of human kind in this forum, dont let this happen again, just give us a weekly 50 word announcement and we will be fine, i think.

Over all, its so much great news for all of us, that today is going to be a happy day.

Thanks again for all your work.
