i got an educational version (a 2 cpu license).

when i registered, i got a serial number, but no license.dat file...

should i write an email to the support?

Definitely! The working license files were emailed in December, and others won't be compatible with RC5.

but this (of course) doens't show up, because only . txt files are allowed...
renaming it doesn't help either... well...
