buffos -

I don't think you have to worry. You've returned from a ban, and that's like returning from the dead, so now I think you're an immortal or something.

You said sorry, so that's 10 points to you. How about you forgive 10 points of my posting missteps and we call it even.

P.S., yes the login thing was a solid move on your part, no doubt.
Deal, Darth Babe. :)

i guess we did, as it was in alpha stage. back then none felt that sunlight trough glass needed to be advertised as a feature in the whitepapers.

That's a good question... personally, I want to answer this by testing it with the current engine, and getting some concrete proof one way or another. The only hang up is that I know for a fact sunlight is still being revised, so I don't know if I can trust my own tests. I wasted about 7 hours tracking a bug the other day because I failed to read an update saying a feature had been disabled tempoarily for a fix. So I want to be sure first. I tend to focus on stuff related to my direct needs as a user; that's how I'm most helpful.

I'm actually setting up a test for this right now.

I won't be able to tell you the results without clearance, no matter how it comes out, but this way you know it's suddenly going to be pushed onto people's plate again, if it isn't already.

Now Mike I too appreciate your efforts (and I too believe you've been put into a lousy situation) but I personally find it hilarious that NL (and it seems you) consider sunlight accurately passing though a transparent object a "feature". That's kind of like saying "our rendering system may be able to produce a displayable image once complete". The point being that it's kind of worthless as a rendering system (especially a supposed uber physically accurate rendering system) if it couldn't do either of those things.

So I personally find it dumbfounding that someone in the know can't tell us if Maxwell is going to have this "feature".

Hang tight.. I just don't want to speak one way or another without seeing it with my own two eyes. I'll be running a bunch of tests this weekend.

Hi mike, just a comment.

I do not post much here except angry post when no OSX version comes out.
But i read all the post all day long in a quiet matter and you seem to care too much about people calling you names and stuff... man please dont waist you time in this, spend it on testing the pre RC5 final release, this is what really helps, you in the A-Team is great and i have personally left way back the anger and frustration of waiting, a new years resolution.

I am total convinced that maxwell will give us so much in the short and long term because Next Limit has an exceptional team.

I do a lot of testing with beta, but i don post it because all most every test i do has been posted already. I dont get tired of testing also.

Please mike dont pay attention to post's of discouragement.

Nico.

One post and one PM, long long long since deleted, but one doesn't quickly forget that sort of thing.

Of course it's not a joke. Geez.
