Okay, NL, listen up. Mike is displaying signs of serious battle fatique and sorely needs R&R.

Maybe you're right. I've spent a lot of time recently with one monitor running Maxwell tests, and one monitor on the forum.

On my left monitor is coolness and positivity as things get better and better and on the right monitor is vitriolic hate an being called Darth A-hole. Back and forth, back and forth, cool>suck>cool>suck>cool>suck. It's a little rough.

I just hate the feeling that it's a no-win scenario. And I can't seem to be of any help. But lord knows I'm trying guys. I'll keep trying.

You have the freedom to do whatever you want. But don't be polite and respectful and call me Mike on this forum, and Darth Bleh or some other insulting name on other forums. It's two faced and disingenuous. I don't care which one you pick, just stick to it. But also, if you want to insult me, don't expect me to just roll with it 24/7, especially when I'm only trying to help you. This can't sound unreasonable to you.

Some of my posts I regret. I used to have a strict "no smileys" rule, and that often made things worse, plus some of the time I'm really pompous and egotistical and arrogant, and I don't always know when to keep my mouth shut. I mean, what do you expect from a dude whose avatar is Darth Vader, for chrissake But whaddya know, I'm only human. So for my shortcomings, I try and do more good than harm. And I think my actions have late working here have been some proof of that.

NL gave you the power to moderate the discussion and speak with authority on the technology. They made you their visible representative and agent, withdrew themselves from the public eye and whether intentionally or not let you be one of the whipping boys. But you accepted the power and responsibility, and the position of a public figure. You are the agent of a company that's got a customer relations disaster on its hands. You're the volunteer Baghdad Bob.

"What's the deal with the glass and the sunlight?" -- It's a reasonable question. If we keep repeating it for months, it's obviously important. NL needs to give us a straight answer instead of leaving you out here to take guesses and get crapped on.

Hey, I can't argue with you; I signed up for this. I'm not saying you have to cut me a break, I was just asking you to.

But truth is, it took a lot of pushing to get me to say anything; I'm not thin skinned, and I don't give up that easily. I'm afraid you're stuck with me for the time being.

And by way of clarification.. NL didn't actually appoint me to do this; they just encouraged it. And why not, really? Maybe my reputation will be forever sullied and I'll end up cleaning toilets. Or maybe it's just a freaking piece of software. Who knows?

Anyway, back to testing. I wanna try some sunlight+glass stuff

Someone posted their VIP login info for this forum on the CGArchitect forum the other day. Luckily I was there within a few minutes to edit it out. People posted consipiracy theories as to why they couldn't log on here and I told them to delete their cookies. I try to correct false information whenever I can. If you've read my posts over there, then you know what I'm talking about. You figure out what that says about my ability to be fair.

Sorry if my calling you Darth Bleh hurt your feelings, but really it was a mild jab, like Darth Whatever, and not meant to be hateful. And I only said it once and only even mentioned you in that one thread.

Calling me two-faced doesn't hurt me because I know, and several others know, that it isn't true.
