hello,

I`m using Maxwell only with SU, so I`m glad, that now the official version with a better noise reduction is released. I use it for indoor-renderings with many different kinds of lighting.
so, after testing v1.0 my first questions:
1- how can textures build with pics (for example computer displays) become an emitter ?
2- how can textures build with pics get a reflection without loosing their texture ?
3- how can I use the architectural-glass-collection in SU ?
4- how can I use the maxwell material editor ?
5- how works the emixer with the SU-emitter ?

here a small preview of the kind of indoor, 20 min with DualCore 38+, 2GB

I just got the download, and I mostly use sketchup, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. As soon as I get in there, I'll see if I can help.

I haven't used maxwell since RC1 so it may take me a while to get up to speed, but I think we'll all be able to help each other out...that's what the forum is for after all.

Good luck!

Where is bakbek...he's usually all over the sketchup plugin?

arghhhhhhhh ! the f... material editor !
thousands of clicks and no result. the preview pic is ugly noisy, the effects I want don't work.
many of the materials-files from maxwell got the wrong path, so it must searched by hand. often there is no pic for bump or reflection at all.
I only want to create red tiles, 40x40 cm with a high reflection effect, but my life is to short for maxwell render..

I believe mike said that if you use RC5 material settings in V1 it would be off. His suggestion was to start anew.

Light through glass is working fine for me. Are you using AGS?
