I just wanted to quickly suggest this. It may be helpful to list any "intended limitations" of referenced MXS files. As it stands, the only one I know of is putting an MXS reference inside an MXS reference. It could be helpful to someone just learning Maxwell.

An unrelated issue with emitters inside references brought this to light (pun not intended). However, that problem isn't really a limitation, but a bug that's supposed to be fixed in the next Maxwell core update:
