Are you sure because I'm watching what the grid size is telling me in Studio to the objects imported. If I set the scene scale in the Max plugin to 1 and rescale my objects in Max to reflect the new scale, the grid reading looks correct. But if I just export with the default 0.01, the objects are huge in Studio.

i'm positive it works. i did a couple of tests yesterday with a 2 meters plane and the grid in studio was consistent with it. i'll double check it again, but i'm pretty sure it works.

another quirk: "select all objects" selects hidden objects as well. Maybe there should be two flavors of "select all objects", one that works for the object list and one that works in the viewport that only selects the objects that are visible???

The network interface looks nice, but I can't read the last entry on the right. I can resize all the other column headings, but the last one is elusive. Some problem with my settings or is it universal?

I've exported my scenes from Max with a scale value of .025, which gives "40.0000 Max units are equal to 1 meter in MaxWell units". To me, this means that 40 inches is approximately equal to 1 meter in MaxWell. One meter equals 39.37 inches. This should be close enough to give an accurate lighting calculation. When I import the scene into the studio, the scale appears accurate, judging by the grid size.

yes - it is. best seen in an 2d window and then move the focus ny typing numbers in the "to" fields. trial and error :(

Maxwell Studio won't even start here. I just freeze up and crash my computer every time I've tried it.
I've fixed the Environment variables and dropped my License.dat in the maxwell-folder, but it still crashes.. :(

OK, well this is probably a stupid question, but maya is my host app and we have no mayall for RC1 yet, how do I make an object an emitter with maxwell studio? (there is no emitter material) Is it even possible? everyone with success seems to be using max, oh and also it there a frame all button in maxwell studio that anyone has come across yet?

Cheers

Brett
