When wanting to select a material with File > Open MXM..., no thumbnail or preview is shown in List or Icons view, making the selection of materials very inconvenient.

Also, the file path always defaults to materials database > mxm files instead of the user's own materials folder, very inconvenient also.

So, Apple announced deprecation at the developer conference in 2019 and finally stopped QuickLook support in 2024 https://developer.apple.com/documentati ... Quick-Look with Sequoia.
