max3d wrote:Frances, I did my test serie with brazil, vray, viz, max etc. all two years ago so i can't recall specific radiosity settings. Brazil and vray did a reasonable GI job without the missing wall.
Gee, that's an entire wall of bounced light missing. Something that looks reasonable doesn't necessarily consititute an accurate simulation.
The thing is that in his example we can still see the wall in the reflection on the sphere as well as the green color bleeds in to the scene. Somehow the wall seems clipped only from the camera but not from the render.
The example he posted was VIZ radiosity where a clipping plane was used. AFAIK he didn't post the Vray or Brazil tests. But he indicated that the wall was removed for those tests.

No new mail here, too But fine to see how it will look like!

And the render looks promising. I'm looking forward to render the architectural model for my last project again. (till finish perhaps? would be the first time without noise.)

ah ok, I saw that; however Maxwell reproduced it, even if more sublte and diffused (you can see it as a brighter oval on the left red wall): this is determined by the energy of the emitter, because Maxwell takes into account the size of object and the shutter speed (I choose 1/60 sec).

so what? ip ban is totally useless if you don't have a static ip but a dial in connection of any kind.

ip ban is a joke.
Even if you ban the whole cluster of the ip provider (millions of ips)
there are thousands of proxies.
Generally , i dont understand what banning helps.
