I currently have a SketchUp model of a hospital and site and want to do a fairly simply camera animation. I can bring the model into 3ds Max, reassociate the materials and create the camera path but I'll have to reassociate those materials any time there's a change in the SU model.
What if I export my SU model to an MXS and then create a camera path in 3ds Max which I can export to a series of .MXS's which have the camera path but no actual geometry. Could I thru a script or something combine those somehow? What would be ideal, I think is if I could bring in the geometry in the form of the new maxwell proxy. That way if there are changes later I could update the proxy and rerun the animation.
Any ideas? Or maybe there's some other way?
