Hi guys- thought I would chime in here
. I agree with Tom about the metal surfaces needing bump maps to help create a realistic metal surface (I learned this from Mihai and his online courses)....... usually- but in this case I think that Phil nailed it. The reason being is that those metal parts on a Fender Strat are always chrome plated and seem kind of shiny,metal, plasticy (I know this is not a word
). At least for me and my aging memory those metal parts really look like they should.... minus some finger grease
