WOOOWW!!!!
znouza, thomas, michael and hyltom,
I'm really amazed with your renders guys!!!!
You know the first TV in this world was a crap also...
And I couldn't figure out how you did these, especially hyltom's...
We're surely using bunch of different technology...hehehe
Very nice contributions, thx for your time!

My experiment did not work out, but it is unique, I will post it once it is done.

These are very wonderful techniques, is it light pulling through plastic and glass materials with closed emitters?

my 5 minutes test, 1 emitter, no plastics, no metals, no dielectrics,

Here is one with no emitters at all.... just magic dust...

It is fast too (11min)

EDIT: ok now it is (22min)

No one will believe me but I'm totally clueless about the last tests.

Were you all waiting for me
Oscar, please remove MXI support from the roadmap, also emitters... heheheh

So you turn on environment and play with the iso settings, maybe burn?

I like this secrecy, I think we should make every post like this from now on....

You must have something in the scene making light, otherwise Maxwell isn't physically correct at all :P If it's not an emitter than it's the environment.

Mihai, Tom,

It is the easiest thing. (and no emitters)

Basically it is a fluorescent surface.
It takes the existing illumination and amplifies it.

-Turn on the skydome at 0.6
-Assign a plastic material to a single surface
-Assign the same image as a specularMap and a GlossyMap@60 simultaneously.

The gloosy map does the amplication (glow)
The reflection map gives the color
(Use no Texture maps at all)
