have got it.. rendering, will post the image in a few minutes..

Does it have anything to do with the bright "stripe" at the bottom of the frame? Looks like the screen is actually a translucent surface. Man...staring at these frames over and over and over trying to figure this challenge out has completely derailed my aftenoon at work! Thanks a lot.

no fog. it's blurry due to 1min rendering.. have not too much time

will try another one with picture :)

OK, I'm guessing an emitter plane facing towards the screen (just in front of it). Light hits the difuse surface and bounces back towards the camera. Of course, I can't try it right now (at work :( ).

just to be sure znouza,
it's not vey important but, is your test having same conditions also? no fog and dielectrics etc...
because my scene setup renders this in a few minutes! so fast! :D
i'll post the scene in the end...hehhehhe
but it seem you're very near to solution ;)

and michaelplogue, nope :D it wouldn't be ever possible anyway...

yes - me the same. no fog, no dielectrics, one emitter..:))
