but don't even dare to make a road map or feature list in the alpha newsletter... that would be tabu

I suspect, for some of you, that the newsletter will not be enough to satisfy... Just a guess.
NL could announce that it is now possible to get instant renderings with no waiting and you would complain that you have to make too many mouse clicks to get there..

No... we would complain about displacement

Instead of a newsletter... I would rather the release of something!

Hi everyone,

As I'm sure you have noticed by now, the Next Limit Autumn newsletter is out now. If you haven't received it, you can check it out via this link: http://www2.nextlimit.com/newsletter/au ... aut07.html

I hope you will enjoy reading it!
So we'll have this week-end... thanks to Giacob?
Funny, I didn't see Giacob here working on the newsletter....

Thanks!

I like what I'm seeing, displacement is going to be very useful and the speed improvement is excellent news! :D Nicole can you tell us if this next release will result in a release number change, will it still be Maxwell Version 1.5 or will it change to V1.X? I guess what I’m getting at is will there be enough added features and changes to warrant a new release number or will it just be a patch to 1.5?

Hi,

Maxer, we still have to decide if this is going to be a patch/ update for Maxwell 1.5, if it's going to be called 1.6, or something else. This depends on the technical side of things (eg how good and extensive are these and some other new features/ improvements/ fixes together). It will be decided soon.

Sandy, I'm not sure about motion blur in 3dsMax, I think it would be best if you asked Mihnea or Bogdan in the 3dsMax sub-forum (as they are usually quick to reply).

Cheers!

Nicole
