Vista maybe?

oh, sorry... missed that it was vista - only saw the 64
yes that could be the explanation

and it really seems to be related to it - if you look at the values of the other quadcore running vista64

pultek Intel Xeon E5320 (single) 1.86 4 1.5 (64bit) 31m 17s 343.17

same times as

SandyKoufax Intel Xeon X3210 2.13 2 1.5 (32bit) 31m 17s 343.1

so vista64 + mxw64 actually is faster!?!

would be at least ONE reason to upgrade to vista  (besides dx10 for crysis...)

I'm glad to see people are getting good results with Maxwell 64 and Vista 64. I'm waiting for the delivery of my new workstation: Dual quad xeons 5355, 16 gb ram, quadro 4500g, vista 64 business. I'm seeing the benchmarks for similar computers and getting excited. It's going to be a big difference from my Pentium D 830!

Hmmm, is it possible to upgrade from XP64 to Vista 64 without having to re-install everything? How about XP64 to Vista 64 on a MacPro?

the entries from "jds" and "CH" are clearly wrong, just look at their benchmark compared to time.

Ok, I'm running the benchwell test right now. It's blowing everyone else's score away so far. I'm running Vista Business 64, Maxwell 64, Dual Quad Xeons 5355 2.66ghz, 16 Gig Ram, Quadro 4500g. I'l be posting my results soon. Trust me, you will want to see this...
