Easy mate, there is something called sarcasm in the world.
ah, ok. sometimes it's hard to read sarcasm. but no worries. I retract my response and replace it with. "give the kid in your avatar another beer."

I'm happy for the new features:

- they quite satisfied my wish ( http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... light=easy )
- I needed less memory usage for my poor laptop.
- hdr saving and obj export.

Hoping one big flavour is still hidden I've got what I was expecting.

Friendly,
Riccardo

Ps. I'm curious for interference... having a coherent light we should be able to reproduce the "famous" two slot experiment...

Ok, I'm an architect, what can I do with it... boh... :?:

Just to remind this to everyone...

Maxwell is the best renderer ever, it is the easiest and it 's getting more powerful every day!

However, I see that with the new feature announced in this topic, NL has added 3-4 parameters we will have to learn and deal with...

If this happens with every new feature, then somebody has to change the "easy as taking a picture" because we will end with more params than mental ray!

I think we have to think about that too. Most of us (not CG artists) decided to use Maxwell for it's use and good results... We learned that good results take time but they are easy to setup.
If this changes, then it is a step backwards for us.

Nicole, I guess you don't choose what to show here but consider the following for the next announcement...
1. Correct daylight with some examples...
2. Displacement if exists...
3. List of corrected bugs (paths, emmiter names for multilight, etc)

Woah now, let's not get too crazy! mental ray still has a few hundred more parametres than Maxwell, and so do lots of cameras these days.
