Hiya guys,
I've got a situation and don't know if it's a bug. Try to do the following:
1: Create a sun emitter material and emitter object (a sphere) like explained in this thread:
http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... 935#170935
2: Create a second sphere at the right distance from the sun object.
3: Give the sphere a little thickness using the Shell modifier.
4: Give the sphere a glass material (using the wizard if you prefer).
5: Put a second object in the sphere.
6: Render and you'll see that the sunlight doesn't seem to properly penetrate the glass globe to reach the object inside. It's as if the surrounding void interferes with the refraction you'd expect. During the render I also noticed some strange, buggy-looking bright pixels on the glass.
I encountered this problem after creating a scene with an astronaut and I just couldn't get his face to show up.
