Hi guys. :)

I recompiled so the program asks for another location if the default one isn't found...and everything is not hosted on RapidShare anymore...have fun. 8)

Hi JDHill.

I have one question. Is it possible to have a program running on one render-machine (for example at my office), and watch status on the render from another computer with only Internetconnection in between (my home computer)? That would be great, so I can notice if a render fails over the weekend. :P Dont know if its possible tough...

Thanks.

Sure!

Just set up a web server (here's a nice free one) on your rendering machine, so you can host a small unadvertised website, and write your render outputs to a folder that's in the web root. To make it work, you'll need to learn about dynamic IP updating (necessary since the IP address of your internet connection changes from time to time), you can visit www.noip.com for more information about this, they offer a free service. You'll need to be able to set up port-forwarding on your office internet router, so that requests to your office's IP address get sent to the machine running the web server...then you can just use a browser to keep an eye on the image from wherever you are.

So it's possible, but...nobody ever said it would be...easy.

You could also install some remote control software, like Remote Administrator, which is small and efficient. It will let you connect to other computers and show you a screen just as if you were sitting at that computer. Ofcourse you can also control it, restart it etc.

Thanks for your great tools !!

I just down loaded and tried out your "MXM Rolodex (.exe) **updated for Maxwell v1.1**" and it works fine. Only problem / wish I have is to have it browse for all .mxm from the current folder and below in the folder structure. I normally have each .mxm in its own folder (so that I can keep track of used textures etc.) and not all in one big folder...

Thanks

Hi Fernando...sorry if it doesn't work on x64...I guess it should work, but I only tested it on XP32bit. :|

Hi Lars...that makes sense...I'll look into that when I get a chance to revisit the app...sometime in the future, though.
