Bokeh is there because of the depth of field. Aperture diffraction is caused by the fact that there is no such thing as a perfect lens, and all those tiny imperfections lead to light interference patterns when the light goes through small openings. At least that's how I've understood the process....if you're more interested you can google for fraunhoffer diffraction. Though I tried doing that and my brain went on strike for a few days....jfrancis wrote:What is the difference between aperture-shaped glare and the already-implemented aperture-shaped bokeh?
