NL Team,

Just remember to make the network co-op rendering cross platform, so we can use Macs and PCs together.

Our office has both machines.

Thanks!

Still, it is a progress, and the light feature that is really great.
You can render with 4 CPU's with one license, so it's certainly useful even if you only have 1 license.
And.....4 CPU's!

I hope we are given free upgrades to Maxwell 2.0, it's only fare after all we have been through in the last year. More CPU licenses or a policy that follows 1 physical cpu = 1 license would also be a very wise thing to implement.

NL will announce that for our patience and troubles whey will give up the upgrade to Maxwell 2.0 for FREE.........although it will contain all the things that was initially promised for Version 1.0....so in essence we will get what we paid for

2.0? Do you really expect any functional version some day? When I bought MR they say they would release v1 in October, then December and so on and so on. What did you hear then? 8)   OK, let's skip v1 and go straight ahead to v2

All I know is I purchased back in February of 05 and this whole thing has really become a thorn in my side. At this point I'm so un-interested in Maxwell the only reason I even check the forum is to see if they have released another RC. I remember in the early days I was on the forum all day reading new posts and learning how to use the alpha\beta. Now there's nothing here to get excited about, every gallery post is just a reminder that we were basically at this same point 6 months ago with the beta. The few exciting things that do happen like the real-time lighting and cooperative rendering or even RC5 get overshadowed by the reality that were all still waiting for something that by all rights should have been here 6 or 8 months ago. I'm trying to see the light through the clouds that's why I'm happy about this cooperative rendering thing. By the way why didn't Victor or Tom post this announcement here, it seem like 1/10 of the people actually got this e-mail.

You can't transfer licenses as I understand it.

Thank you for this info.. I did not recieve the email either.

This sounds like a cool feature, and yes this together with the light ajustment capabilities sounds very interesting. If/when the new Maxwell engine is able to produce pictures of the quality of the Maxwell Beta (still not quite there .. or is it just me?) then I have to buy a renderfarm and some more licensens :-)
