Yeah, that was my first reaction...That's either two chicks or a guy with a nice rack. Nice rendering, nonetheless.

Wow! I haven't been on the forum all day, and didn't expect this many responses . Thanks for all of the wonderful feedback! It's all valuable stuff.

I'm having to agree that the scene really is lacking something on the emotional side. I was thinking about putting the girls hands in front of her face, portraying her crying, and maybe running away. ... a discarded boquet of flowers on the ground.... ???

I did have a second rendering of this going on during the day, with more motion blur in the train. I'm tring to find a decent ballence where there is a definate sense of speed and motion, where I didn't loose too much detail on the train passengers. I also moved the guy a bit closer to the center so he dosen't end up in front of the train window (he sorta dissappears after the postwork because of the dark jacket).

I was also thinking during the day that I may take a whole different approach to this - by making it more humerous. The Wallis "Dress to kill" add campaign came to mind. I've got a couple of ideas rolling around along this theme that I'm gonna have to try out. Like a couple making out in the street with a truck bearing down on them....... You know, that whole consumed-with-passion-with-imminant-death/danger sorta thing...

Anyway, thanks again for all the comments. This is exactly why this is a WIP. This was hastily thrown together on my initial inspiration, and wanted a good reality check. Much Appreciated! :D

mmh i think the render is just fine. it catches the topic...but only on a not so special way. it needs a twist - a perspective shift away from the obvious.hehe i like the idea of adding blood...maybe blood flowing out of the baskets and some blood still on the guys hands?or another idea would be to make the scene set up so the view goes throught the scope of a sniper rifle aiming at the guy (paid by the lady). but uuh thats maybe just as overdone allready.

Well, here's the second render that I mentioned above that cooked during the day. Slightly different post treatment. It's OK I guess, but I still think I'll pursue something different.

Well, here's a different version, changing the POV and a little something extra. What do y'all think? Please, tear it apart... I'm a glutton for punishment!

I like the chopped off heads version because it leaves me thinking a few questions. The last render is much more cut and dried and I suspect this may be the better entry to the competition. Which ever you decide to enter - good luck.

...this is what happens when you say your girlfriend's new tatoo looks 'nice'...

Really though, I like the last version best...and...repeat what Tom said. :)

Thanks everyone for the comments! I've decided that I've played around with this enough and need to move on to something else. I've decided to go ahead and enter the last image to the challenge. It may not be the best I could come up with, but it gave me a chance to play around with something different.

Thanks again all!

Great work Michael. I like the extended format that you are using :D
A suggestion: in order to unite plus the scene (feelings-time) you could play with the light that leaves the wagon in motion
