The most amazing thing are the metal sleeves in the screw holes ... that is quality engineering detail !

Nice gears too :P

Rhino + Nico + Maxwell = State of the art in engineering :)

Isn't that surface offsetting terribly frustrating in Rhino? I know it is for me, I wonder if you're having a lot of problems modeling stuff like this, getting stuff to match or fillets that aren't working?

Hi Nico,

That's freakin' out work! Your trainner pannel renderings are the reason I've jumped into this!!!

I have 2 questions:

Q1: I'm getting blind or on your last image only one screw has threads - the first one to have them in this model?

Q2: Your avatar. I'm not sure what is that, but it reminds me of some outer space TV series I used to watch decades ago, prior to battlestar galactica along with SeaView... What's that???

Hey Dutch_designer,

What I do is, I make an offset of the basic shapes of my model and work from the inside out (in this case) that makes it a lot easier.
after that I insert the interior

Hi Ricardo,
Thanks man!! :D
They are all the same, but because of the render angle the others do not show up.

Indeed it's from the old TV series "Space 1999" the ships name is Eagle lander.

Thanks J, woow wish I had one, I also had one when I was a kid :D but I lost it some how

Here is just a quick render to show the threads on the screws (Ricardo  ).
I did not had the time to finish it, so it's still a bit noisy:
