well, but that's not much of a point, is it? nobody ever said maxwell will be working like mental ray, i mean it doesn't make much sense saying: "hey look, mental ray can save photons maps, i can render an animation in no time. try that with maxwell and see how long it would take instead". and we all knew that since the very beginning.
maxwell can't be the right and only choice in any given situation, that's why, say, it's wise to have both renderers at hand. if your work mainly requires quick ao, different passes for comping, and if gi is not even needed then maybe maxwell is not the right renderer in the first place.

Mike, will we be able to insert emitter materials into BSDF layered materials? At the moment, M~R Studio gets upset if I try.
