I tried reading trough the whole post, but I could not find any details about the material wizard.
Can we still make materials the same way we aredoing in it know with bsfd?

Is it an option in the material editor and studio or is it the only wat to get materials from the plugins?

It follows the Material Editor around wherever it goes, so that means it's in Studio as well as in the Standalone (called MXED). You can use either system, the RC version or the beta version. Beta was a simpler material setup for a lot of people, even though it was severely limited... so it was decided to let people work either way. The wizard handles turning Beta-style input into RC 5 materials, so you can just go back to thinking, "Plastic", "Diffuse," and work with them that way, just like in beta, while the Wizard handles the conversion in the background.

that is good because I don't think I need the RC system to create most materials, but sometimes is a good and powwerful way .

Mike, Tom and the A-Team. Thanks for the hard work and I appreciate it including this announcement. I don't post unnecessarily because I know you guys are always busy.

That said, all other rendering engines allows the user to see sunlight though glass from outside. This is basic and should not to be thought of as a "free" feature to re-imburse us for RC1, RC2,.....

Before RC1 came out, there were images showing a 10x increase in render times and later this was related to the RS2 engine which implies RS2 should have been in the full 1.0 package. This again should not be thought of as a "free" re-imbursement.

Don't get me wrong I love all the stuff mentioned in the announcement but I can't keep my clients waiting indefinately for an image to 'clear up'. We need speed, speed, SPEED and the sunlight/glass issue has to be sorted out.

Thanks again guys.
