I'm having fun 'playing with Maxwell', but there are some serious issues with materials in the latest plugin. I'm sure that they are working on an update, but it would be nice if someone from Next Limit responded to some of the posts here in the SketchUp forum to at least show they are a little interested.

What do you think?

Well, at least you got as far as rendering. See you work on a Mac but overhere on my Mac nothing at all but a direct crash after export.

Next Limit showed an interest though and sent me a message stating new plugins and Mac install software is on its way.

Maxwell sends us into a new timezone as far as rendering is concerned but the for the rest it looks like going back to the days of the 8Mh XT PC's on MSDOS.

What is the combination of software and OS? When does it crash and how does it crash. Does it completely shutdown Maxwell or does it just not render or does it say render failed.

Maybe I can help. Give me some details.

Thanks for trying to help me out. I use an iMac G5 20" with 1gb ram. Most recent MacOS, keep the system updated all the time.

Got the latest Maxwell and plugins for Sketchup as I downloaded these last Friday.
Sketchup crashes as export seems almost finished leaving me with a log stating Maxwell is not initialised. Next Limit is aware of this bug and promises to fix it. They advise me to use a previous version of the plugins but also mention a cumbersome installation process and so advise me to wait. Maybe I better do as they say unless you have a clear and relatively easy way to get started.
