I know the same problem has been posted before on different treads but still, I am posting it as a new one since most posting end in private communications between forum member as far as a possible solution migh come up.

I have just bought Maxwell and feel pretty stupid today. Never been able to make a single rendering since exporting a simple cube results in Sketchup crashing leaving a log same as other members have posted. Is there no kind of simple way to install Maxwell on a G5 and the plugin for Sketchup without getting into a programmers mode in the OSX system replacing apps and files all over the place.

I am really sorry to find myself completely in the dark without much help from techsupport at Maxwell render. I don;t mind long render times at all but hate to spend hours of surfing on different forums just to install Maxwell.

Hope anyone here can help me get on my way as is probably done for others wih the same problem already. Otherwise I will simply have to get back to sales and ask my money back and post this experience to other forums as well before more people get into problems with Maxwell. I think at least the Mac Sketchup users should be warned about the risk on buying Maxwell.

Ok, I see an update is expected nex week. I would have loved to play with my new toy Maxwell this weekend though. I still feel that a not functioning package for Mac Sketchup users shouls not be sold without warning even for half price.
In the meantime all I can do is wait and try to get back at sales for a refund and keep on going with Cinema 4D.

I'd suggest that you wait a bit, like we all do, to get the final release before getting a refund. Beta version means not finished, bugs may occur etc...We all have problems with our plug ins yet, and still know the wait will worth it.

got a message from techsupport that an update for OSX is expected soon. Still feel silly with a "dead on arrival" and advise to wait. I know betaversions but as a rul they somehow start up at least. They should have posted a warning for potentiol buyers. Maxwell could easily become the next great promise that is born too soon getting an awfully bad name that will stall its development. I go back to the 80's in CAD and have seen many packages float up and quickly drown under their weight of promises.
