Will the SketchUp plugin be compatible with Maxwell 1.0, and the new shaders etc, when it comes out this month?
Are we expecting a new SU2mxs alpha for the Maxwell beta before that?

Right now I have the same information on Maxwell1.0 as you do :-)
The best guess I have is that the full compatibility might not be there at the time of 1.0 release but it is expected to be implemented shortly after.

There will be new versions of MaxwellExport plugin for SketchUp in the meantime...

ooops.....some people will not be pleased hearing this.

Pelias, I know you worked hard on this plug-in but it seems that Next Limit is taking not the best choice in trying to make plug-ins for all 3D programs.
I don't understand that Next Limit doesn't take Hrotgar (the maker of Matadorlight) as a member of their team. The matadorlight program works really fine with sketchup ( and other programs) according to the people that use it,much better than some of the plug-ins. Why not try to improve and enhance Matadorlight. Adding some options to it like texture positioning and scaling, better sun positioning.....

Am i totally wrong in saying that this would be a much easier way of working?
Right now we really don't know what to expect of the maxwell 1.0 version. Next Limit should really take time to explain how their software will implement all the third party 3D programs.

I think most sketchup users were counting on full compatibility with version 1.0

Will the scenes setup with the Beta version renders with RC1?

No, old mxs files from the 1.2.2 beta will not render in the RC (Release candidate) or v1.0
I guess this means we need a new SU plugin before installing the rc version?

means we'll install something we can't use...?
grrr hope the way to export mxi files that work in RC will come out VERY fast...

Pavol, not sure i understand why you don't have a RC for SU compatibility purpose for a long time already...????
