I haven’t been able to get Dept of Field from SU2MXS. I again tested the same scene directly from SU and from Max. My units in SketchUp are mm. The Focal Point is set to closest pole and the F Stop is set to 1 for a strong dof effect, but I can’t see one. The same scene imported to Max and rendered with the same settings shows a clear dof effect. (I have no idea why the colours and light are so funny in Max, same location, same time, same beige diffuse ground…).
Is the scene scale maybe not correctly exported to mxs from SketchUp? This would also explain why the emitters were so dim (in alpha 4.0).

The funny colours in the Max rendering came from my mistake. I forgot to check the Use Sunlight option. This is the new Max image:

This brings up a new question: why are the shadows different (both images Madrid 1.june 14.00)? This is “summer time”, so it is probably SU or Max that doesn’t take daylight saving into account…

It's sketchup that doesn't take daylight savings into account. It's in the manual. They say the next version of the plug-in will fix it
render engines and Maxwell

well I don't think AI will remain like it is now. […]
