It seems as though its both an enviroment export problem and maybe camera position also. I opened an exported mxi in studio and the model appeared to be miles off screen when viewed through the su camera.

please advise if i can help at all, i would be happy to send you a test file, etc. note i am using a macbook pro, 2.16/2GB ram, 10.4.9 ... mx 1.5ub, etc.

does it have something to do with the changed locations of the texture (material) files?

also, it is difficult to understand the new install technique - where do the new SU textures come?

Hi,


I am on latest Mac OSX on a Powerbook. I just installed the latest Maxwell update for OSX and created a simple test scene of ground plane, cube, and sphere. MXCL reports the file exported from SketchUp to be invalid.

- black sky in render ( with physical sky ) > solved by unchecking alpha layer export
- unmatch between SU cam and MR view when rendering ( horizontal offset and lower field of view). (field of view reduced by at least 40%)

that's my conclusion too. I think why i get black renders is due to the view being shiftded during export to below the ground plane.
