What is a block colour? Or did you mean black?
Some triangles could render black (bug), but that is probably not it...
Can you post an image or screenshot.
What plugin version & what platform are you using?

I can’t say directly why your textures are missing, but let’s try to locate the problem…
Did you export default SU materials without assigning mxm (to faces or by automxm)?
If you didn’t specify an mxm, then the texture of the SKM material should be extracted (to a folder with the same name as the mxs), and they should be seen in the render. Is the folder with textures created?
Open an mxs file you have exported using Maxwell Studio. Look at the materials list, and double-click on one that should have a texture. You should now see the material in the editor. Is there a texture assigned to Reflectance0?Under render options in Studio there is a checkbox that will disable bitmaps, is it unchecked?

The scale is not the problem here; the texture should show up as it is placed in SU, regardless of scale.
Are you on XP, Mac or IntellMac? There have been some path problems on Macs (I’m on PC).

Ok, now I think I know the problem. You haven’t defines how the map should be placed.
You need to place the map (or any map) in SketchUp before export, and the Mxm maps will be placed in the same way.
Say you want to use the Boards-02 mxm from Arroway materials. Create a material in SketchUp, and define the boards+02-d100.jpg texture as your texture map. (The same texture as you use for Reflectance0 in the mxm). Place it, and scale it, like you want it in your render. Now export, and then assign the mxm in Studio. Do you see the texture now?

Note: The Arroway textures need to be downloaded separately. If the maps are missing the render fails.

If you haven’t used Maxwell for a long time, you probably haven’t used Automxm? You can now link to the mxm directly from SketchUp by using the same material name in SU as the Mxm file uses.
-Name the SU material boards-02.
-On export open the options. Check the Use Automxm Conversion checkbox (and check the path is pointing to the materials database).
-Export. You can now see the mxm in the render. Don’t need to do it in Studio…

-If you are going to use the material in other projects, then you can save the SU material in a SU library.
