I would love to see this feature added to the plugin once SU6 is released.

Make Linked Maxwell Material!

This option would I consider function to allow you to search for an MXM and upon selection look for the texture set as the Opacity map load it as a material to SU and change it's name to match that of the MXM. and:

1. Where no opacity map exists the bump map would be used,

2. Where no opacity or bump map is used the weight map be used, or

3. Where no maps are used then the colour of 0 deg reflectance is used (or any colour and the user can define in SU material editor).

The whole idea of this function is to overcome the issue many seem to struggle with regarding the application of a texture being used in SU for scaling of the MXM and also the auto naming to enhance the functionality of the AutoMXM feature.

my request for the new plugin is that component names be exported as well...so when the model is opened in studio..you get names instead of Object205, etc.. :(

The problem is mate that you aren't getting components in to studio - objects are all geometry with the same material type!
