Hello all, I'm just returning to Max now that I have I have 1.0, can anyone tell me if there has been an updated tutorial for the Sketchup plugin? It seems my old models from the beta still work ok but any new stuff seems to be a little different; specifically the emitters properties have changed? or have they? Lastly can somebody tell me the process for getting the additional license of Maxwell render they promised us? Thanks for any assist...

some of the materials from beta doesn't work with V1. They changed something during the developement.
cause of the ermitter, see the thread below. It is explained by sheik and Jomaga. Try the mxm ermitter materials.
I just asking for a new tutorial. Hope it will come.
I also have no second license yet. They told us that it will be send but this takes time for everyone.

Thanks for that, I think.... wonderfully complicated but helpful. So tell me, can I use the emitter/material editor with the Sketchup plugin? I have opened previous RC models and they render fine, interestingly I am have difficulty with new models? maybe I just need a bit more time with program.

Can anyone tell me what is working and whats not with the Sketchup plugin? are their limitations and do you all think they will be addressed in the near future? MAx is a wonderful tool but I need to get it in my workflow some how.

I was curious if anyone has tried to use Maxwell in same nature as the Sketchup imagery? What I mean is, is it possible to bring the edge work into Maxwell, What I would really like is to be able to render Sketchup models with lighting, not necassarily photo realistic but instead just illuminate sketchup models?

I don't know exactly what is working and what's not, but I've been able to get a few presentable images out of 1.0. Just some basic materials and fairly short render time, about an hour. I used neat image to clean up the noise and adjusted brightness/contrast a bit.
