Has anyone ran into this on v1.0?
I am at a conceptual level and wanted to render the existing surrounding buildings as white. This one is quite a booger, he continues to show these black triangulated faces. To setup the scene, I setup the camera parameters, environment and hit render. I moved the camera and tried again, to no avail. I have already checked the normals and those were correct as well. Anyone have this happen to them?

Try assigning a default diffuse material to everything and try again - it helps for me.

Cheers

I've had it happen several times. Can't pinpoint the problem. I've had to redraw a few things because I can't seem to fix it.

I had the same problem, just black forms apearing on renderes, and when I checked the objects I didn't see/find anything wrong. I overcome this by exporting to maxwell - all the steps of normal rendering to maxwell in sketchup, saved the .mxs file and in options uncheck "Render in Maxwell after export", them open the .mxs in studio and do the render from there.

I have the same problem. I copied the whole SkechUp scene into a new window. For the time being I thought the black Poligone disappeared. Irtum, it were simple in other places!!!! I think it's an Plugin-Bug

Thanks to all, I'll give the studio materials a try. I actually remodeled the portions showing the black faces and turned out that the newly modeled file had the same issues.

I had the same problem. I redrew it and it came back. Once I got it fixed and got some coffee and it was back. Well, not really, but pretty damn close. Can't seem to get rid of the problem.

I did copy it into a new drawing, fix it, then paste it back in, but that's a real hassle. Stayed fixed though.
