I am not having any luck with archicad surfaces converting into new Maxwell 3 material during renders (specifically bump maps).
Most of these materials worked in Archicad 17/Maxwell 2 and would appear as a decent bump or displacement. Upon moving the project to Archicad 18/Maxwell 3 this had fallen apart. I have rebuilt materials, tried importing Maxwell materials etc. with no success. Instead of bump maps translating into "bump' and surface treatment they only appear as a surface image.
As well I have tried to create an MXM and link to that. While the MXM renders well within the maxwell material edit window, as soon as it is set as a material in the project it fails (bump map shows as surface color) in the render export.
I have noticed that the Cine4d that ships with Archicad, has no trouble with any existing material, newly created material or even converting Maxwell MXMs to a proper bump display when rendered.
Anyone have an idea or a similar experience?
