Hello!
I would like to render a glas in front of a background made from a photo. I converted the original jpg to a 32-bit tiff and use it as a screen mapped background in Enviroment but as I render it I get it totally black picture. I switched my jpg with a hdri and now I get light. Is it a bad idea to use a converted jpg as background? How do I make it work?
Thanks!

Try increasing the intensity on the converted jpg, but in general use an HDR instead. The jpg doesn't have the initial dynamic range needed for the light to look good. Did you assign the tiff to all IBL channels?
