i want grass that more or less always points up, regardless of the slope of the ground.
so i use this angle map as a starting point:


when i use an angle map i get this grass alignment:

found it.

in the field for entering the tip width, i accidentally added a digit instead of replacing it, sloppy selection.
so the tip was wider than the root. i know that is currently not supported, but interesting that it caused such a behaviour.
