I read that there is some kind of material wizard. I have Maxwell Studio V3. Can it be that there is no wizard.

Yes, it is a bit confusing... but i found it

Right Click in Material list > New >

IMHO the Material Wizard is really helpful for non-advanced users but locating this function is not so easy
When you are new to new Material Editor it takes some time to find that you have to click on Global Properties (left-bottom corner)
and not search in File-Edit-Preview menus for it...
