I am also trying to check it out with V3 before the sale. I have not been able to check it out as much as I would like with the Demo version because you can't save anything or render any of the test images. The best you can do is set the interactive preview settings to very high quality to see how your settings will look.

It is not clear from the websites I found which version of HDR Light Studio 4 to buy for use specifically with Maxwell Render 3. It must be the Complete version that comes with all of the plug-ins we don't need, even though Maxwell 3 still comes with the plug-in built-in. There is no less-expensive version available for Maxwell like there is if you were ordering a version specifically for Maya, 3dsmax, lightwave3D, houdini, modo, ect....or other Special Editions. http://www.hdrlightstudio.com/buy.htm

You would need to purchase 'HDR Light Studio 4 - Complete'. This includes all plugins/connectivity - including to Maxwell Studio.
