Hi all
Just a heads up that v3 is available and they have a new physically based render workflow so you can create roughness maps for Maxwell now rather than the usual specular/reflectance maps. I've played with it a little and my biggest problem with most of Allegorithmic's stuff is that they often crash when you go above 2k resolution but the results are pretty good. I get around the crashes by working at 1k res and switching up before output at the end.
Obviously their render preview won't match Maxwell's output perfectly but it's a big step closer for sure when making photo textures for use in Maxwell.
